In the peak of the hurricane season, no less than six weather systems are active in the Atlantic basin, with two of them blowing hurricane-force winds.
“Sally” reached Hurricane status with 80 knots winds in the afternoon of 14th Sep. and expected to make landfall in the PM hours of 15th Sep. near Mobile Bay, where NHC has issued a storm surge of 7-9 feet.
